Respiratory protection makes it possible to breathe air that is free of hazardous substances.
There are different types of respiratory protection that can be used if protection is needed because the air may contain hazardous substances: dependent and independent respiratory protection.
With dependent respiratory protection, the immediate ambient air is filtered and then immediately inhaled again. This can be done with different types of masks and filters.
